  UNIQUE OUTFIT FOR SLEIGH RIDE 1915 or 1916 Branchton S. S. Scholars Ride Behind 4 Horse Team Driven by B. Oliver An unusual sight was witnessed on the streets of Galt yesterday when a big pleasure sleigh loaded with a merry crowd of children and drawn by a four-horse team, was driven by a young man in a masterly manner around the city. The outing was the annual sleigh ride of the Branchton Sunday school. Mr. Bert Oliver, son or Mr. Walter Oliver, well known milkman, suggested taking, the entire membership of the school in one sleigh and secured the big pleasure sleigh of A. E. Buchanan. into which no less than 39 children were packed. This human load was too heavy for a single team to draw, so young Oliver harnessed up a four-in-hand and the manner in which he handled the double team stamped him as a clever reinsman and drew many complimentary remarks from citizen, From Branchton the merry load came to Galt and after making a tour of the city returned to the village where they found the ladies gathered at the village hall and a splendid warm supper awaiting them. The outing was one of the most enjoyable the Sunday school has ever bad.
