H. M. BOWMAN DIES AT KITCHENER AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS
Former Alderman and Well Known Citizen Was in His 59th Year.
One of Waterloo County's best known citizens, Harvey M. Bowman, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac L. Bowman passed away early Thursday morning at the St. Mary's hospital at Kitchener following a three weeks' illness. He was in his 59th year.
The funeral held on Saturday af ternoon from the family residence 60 Church St., Kitchener, was largely attended. The services at the house and the United Brethren Church were in charge of Rev. George Seipel and Rev. S. H. Swartz. Interment was made in the cemetery at Blair.
The late Harvey M. Bowman was a lifelong resident of Kitchener. He was a graduate of the Arts department at Toronto University and received his Ph.D., degree in Leipzig University, Leipalg, Germany. He was intensely interested in research work and was connected with the Carnegie Foundation of Washington, D.C. He also did work for the archives at Ottawa. There survive two brothers, A. M. Bowman, and F. M. Bowman of Pittsburg. two nephews and one nlece. One brother Leander passed away some years ago.
Mr. Bowman was a member of the Kitchener city council in 1917 and 1918. and much interested in the municipal life of the city.
