  When Howard Leslie Moore was born on August 25, 1893, in Galt, Ontario, Canada, his father, John, was 26 and his mother, Sarah, was 25. He married Ida Newton Barlow on January 5, 1917. Howard started a business together with his brother Cecil in a small shop in Cochranton, PA called MorCo. Cecil "couldn't take living on cucumber sandwiches any longer"... so he moved on. Howard later became a millionaire listed on Dun and Bradstreet. They had two children during their marriage. He died in October 1972 in Erie, Pennsylvania, at the age of 79.
