Wholesale grocer. Born in the county of Waterloo, Ontario, 23 December 1855. Son of John and Frances Gordon. Married Alma L. Douglass, 1887. Was educated at the Ontario Schools. Came to Manitoba in 1882; joined the firm of Thomson, Codville & Co., 1883; buyer for a number of years; second Vice-President when joint stock company was formed; President since 1916. President, Dominion Wholesale Grocers Guild, 1914-15. President, Manitoba and Saskatchewan Grocers Association for twelve years. President, Winnipeg Board of Trade, 1911-12. Liberal. Anglican. Address, 77 Wilmot Place, Fort Rouge, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
