  SCOTT, Herbert After a lingering illness, the death occurred, on Saturday, of Herbert Victor Scott, son of James and Isabella Scott, Dumfries Township, the homestead being located about two miles from Galt. The deceased young man was well and favorably known, both in the town and township. His upright character and genial disposition won for him many friends, who will regret to learn of his demise. He was in his 22nd year. He is survived by his parents and a number of brothers and sisters, who will have the sincere sympathy of the community, in their sad bereavement. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, from the family residence, North Dumfries, to Mount View cemetery.
