    • Native of Dumfries Dead - One of the best known men in the Township of North Dumfries died Friday morning, says the Galt Reporter, when at 2: 30 o'clock, Thomas Wallace breathed his last at his home on the 7th concession. He was a native of the Township, having been born on the farm now occupied by his brother, William. His early days were spent in Galt and it was in the Public school of this town that he gained his education. Returning to the land almost half a century ago he became a successful farmer and was considered by many to be an authority on matters pertaining to agriculture. Of a kindly and considerate nature he was loved and respected by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. He is survived by his brother, William, his widow, and ten children.
