  Leah Martin, "the youngest in the family, was born January 30th, 1840. She is married to John Histand" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ___________ MRS. JOHN HISTAND. The death occurred on Monday afternoon, March 20th, at her residence on Spaetz Street, of Mrs. John Histand, in her 72nd year. The deceased lady had resided a Berlin for several years, coming here from Blenheim township, where was she well known and highly respected. She is survived by one son John, in the Northwest, and one daughter, Mrs. Master, New Dundee. The funeral will take place on Thursday at 1.39 p. m. from the residence, Spaetz Street, to the Mennonite Church and cemetery.
