• Notes

  William Mann came from Norfolk, England, in the year 1840, and settled in Winterbourne. At this time the land east of the river road at Winterbourne was owned by the Geddes family. Mr. Mann bought this land and held it for some years, selling it to Captain Lamphier. William Mann married Jane Holm wood from Sussex, England, who died in 1876, at the age of sixty-seven years, while Mr. Mann died in 1860, at the age of forty-five. Their son, Charles H.
