  Death of Dr. Schofield The "Brockville Recorder," has lengthy obituary notice of the late Dr. Peter Schofield, who died in that Town on the 21st ult., in the 74th year of his age. Dr. Schofield was born in the State of Connecticut, and came to reside permanently in the year 1816. The Recorder says "In every object of benevolence or charity he was always ready to do his part, and the poor of the Town, among whom for many years past, he has been a regular visitor, will miss his kind advice and Christian sympathy. Dr. Schofield was the Father of M. C. Schofield, Esq., P.L.S. of this Town. Berlin Telegraph 1 Jun 1860
