  Mrs. John H. Bender There passed away at the family residence in East Zorra township on Wednesday, August 12th, Barbara Brenneman, wife of John H. Bender, in her 82nd year. She had suffered from cancer trouble during the past year. Deceased was born in South Easthope where she lived with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brenneman, until her marriage to Mr. Bender in 1872. She leaves besides her husband, one son, Jacob B., of East Zorra, and two daughters, Lydia at home, Mrs. Chris. Jutzi, of East Zorra, and three brothers, Joseph, David and Christian. Three sisters predeceased her. The funeral held on Friday afternoon was conducted by Rev. Mr. Kipfer. The services at the church was in charge of Bishop Daniel Jutzi, Rev. Steinman and Rev. Bender. Interment was made in the Amish-Mennonite Cemetery, 16th line. The pallbearers were Ezra Roth, Ivan Bender, Peter Brenneman, Norman Roi, William Brenneman and Simon Roth.
