  ALVIN SHEARD New Dundee. May 9 - Alvin Sheard, well-known resident of New Dundee, died in Galt Hospital Sunday, following a stroke Saturday night. He had been in his usual good health. Mr. Sheard was born in Wilmot Township, son of Mrs. Hannah Sheard and the late Arthur Sheard. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Gertrude Sheard of Tormto; his mother, Mrs. Hannah Sheard, aged 94, one brother, Titus, of Kitchener and one sinter, Mrs. Lissetta Johannes, of Saskatoon, Sask. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2.30 at the Baptist Church, with Rev. H. F. Schade in charge. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. The remains are resting at the Poth Funeral Home, until 10 a m., Wednesday when removal will be made to the church. Kitchener Daily Record 9 May 1944 pg 13
