  Mrs. William Cook HAYSVILLE. Mrs. William Cook, formerly Rebecca Ann Guthrie, died late Tuesday afternoon in her 77th year. She had suffered a stroke the day before. She was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Guthrie and was born at Fairmont, Ont., on April 11, 1867. She was married at Meaford in 1886. the couple coming directly to Haysville, where Mrs. Cook has lived for 57 years. Her husband predeceased her May 13, 1938. He was postmaster at Haysville for many years. Mrs. Guthrie was a lifelong member of Christ Anglican Church at Haysville The late Mrs. Cook is survived by three sons: Andrew of New Hamburg, Roy of Parkway, and Ernie of Wellesley; and a daughter, Madge, at home. Two children pre-deceased her, Clara (Mrs. Albert Pichl), and a son, William Stanley: There are two sisters, Mrs. J. Dollinger of Florida, and Mrs. Rae Glaser, Detroit. There are also 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Private funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the late residence, with public services later at St. George's Anglican Church, New Hamburg.
