  Reuben S. Bowman, "was born near Berlin, August 3rd, 1852. He is a contractor and builder, and has so far proved himself to be a man of more than ordinary business talent. He is considered one of the most successful contractors of the town of Berlin. On December 30th, 1879, he married Louisa, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Hollinger) Geiger. She was born in Berlin. Their family consists of eight children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
