  KROPF-SHUPE, Viola - passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener. She was born 87 years ago in Mornington Township, a daughter of the late Menno and Amanda (Bender) Zehr. Viola was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Kitchener and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Viola was a hard-working, strong and gracious lady with a keen sense of humour. She will be greatly missed. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Kropf (1960) and the late Harley Shupe (1997). Loving mother of Donna and Ken George, Grace and Ron Rockel, all of Kitchener, Verna and Harold Schweigert of Shakespeare. Sadly missed by her seven grandchildren, David (Tina), Ryan, Mark (Becky), Dan, Janine (Casey), Tonya (Chris) and Brad and by four great-granddaughters, Caitlyn, Adelle, Breeah and Alaina. Lovingly remembered by her sister, Ida Smythe of Innerkip and by sisters-in-law, Janet Zehr of Bright, Audrey Zehr and Arleatha Brown, both of Tavistock. Viola was predeceased by her step-mother, Sarah (Helmuth) Zehr and by brothers, Henry, Stanley (Florence), Lorne, Elroy, Wes, Wilfred (in infancy) and by brothers-in-law, Floyd Smythe and Sid Brown. Friends and relatives may call at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Saturday February 2, 2008 transfer will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 49 Queen St. N., Kitchener for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Frank Haggarty officiating. Burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Peters TV Ministry, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
