Martin in 2003. Dear mother of Elaine Richinger of Kaslo, B.C., Keith and Marg of RR 1 West Montrose, Carolyn Todd of Seattle, Washington, Dennis and Helen of RR 1, West Montrose, Quentin and Jean of RR 2 West Montrose. Also lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren, Monica, Lisa, David, Craig, Rachel, Jason, Angela, April, Kyle, Katrina, Alannah, Mariah, Tarrah, Joy and Rosaleigh; by her 9 great-grandchildren, Benton, Spencer, Jordon, Kelsey, Madeline, Lucas, Gwyneth, Sophia and Lillian and by her brothers, Abner S. and Ruth Martin of New Hamburg, Earl and Vera Martin of Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents, David and Agnes (Shantz) Martin; son-in-law, Fred Richinger and brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Fern Martin. Mildred was born and raised in Waterloo County but was a citizen of the world. Her passion for reading and self-learning continued to her last days. While her life was centered around the family farms at Winterbourne, Mildred's interests stretched across the globe as she traveled extensively to: China, Russia, India, Europe, South and Central America. Locally, her keen sense of heritage was expressed in the writing of local history, collecting of antiques and dedicated involvement in Women's Institute and the Woolwich Agricultural Society. All of this, while supporting Abner in his endeavours that lead to inductions into the Waterloo County and Ontario Agricultural Halls of Fame. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Rome , Elmira on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Monday, June 2, transfer will be made to Calvary United Church, St. Jacobs for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Drew Maxwell officiating followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Calvary United Church Building Fund (where she was a longtime, active member), House of Friendship or Canadian Food Grains Bank would by appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.1a
