    • WILHELM WITZEL

      Wilhelm (William) Witzel, 81, died after a brief illness Sunday at his home, RR 2, Petersburg, where he had farmed all his life. He was born on the same farm Nov. 20, 1886.

      Mr. Witzel was predeceased in 1949 by his wife, the former Viola Hlllgartner. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Witzel.

      Surviving are two sons Verlus of Petersburg and Morgan of Baden; three daughters, Mrs. Bertrum (Iva) Chapman of New Dundee, Mrs. Oliver (Alice) Reibling of Tavistock and Mrs. Gerald (Muriel) Corrigan of Waterloo; two brothers, Herman and Henry of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Jolin (Louise) Hardman of Arthur; 11 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters predeceased him.

      Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church, New Dundee, where Mr. Witzel was a member. Rev. Oliver Repo, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Wilmot Centre cemetery.
