______________
ATTEMPT AT OUTRAGE.
Last Sunday night a tramp or burglar halted at the residence of Casper Schenk in Victoriaburg and entered the same. He was under the impression that Mr. Schenk's two daughters were the only inmates of the house and attempted to outrage them and in the endeavour tore one of the lady's clothes almost completely off the body. They however, stood a stout defense with the assistance of Mrs. Schenk managed to hold him at bay until Mr. Schenk came to the rescue and after a desperate struggle overpowered him with the assistance of a neighbor who was in the meantime called to the rescue he was bound captive till the morning when Constable Herle of this place brought him here where he appeared before the magistrate who sent him to Berlin to await his trial.
