- A respected resident of Stratford Mrs. Robert H. Barber died at her home last Friday after having been ill for about three months. She was a native of Wilmot Township being born there 66 years ago. As a young woman she lived in Grey Township for a time removing to New Hamburg when about 22 years of ago. In New Hamburg 39 years ago as Miss Rachel Sanderson she married Robert Barber. For the last 12 years she had resided in Stratford. Survivors are the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Deamude of Owen Sound and a sister Mrs. E. Little of Bright. The funeral took place last Monday from her late home to Avondale cemetery, Stratford. Rev. S. J. Kelly of Trinity Methodist Church, officiated. The pallbearers were: F. Bloxom, I. Ward, W. Davis, M. Pigeon, L. Larason, J. Stewart. Mourners were present from St. Thomas, Aylmer, Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Listowel, Gorrie, Detroit, Oshawa, New Hamburg, Bright, Woodstock and London.
