    • Mrs. Anderson, Haysville, Dies At the Age of 97

      HAYSVILLE, July 10. Haysville's grand old lady, Mrs. Jacob Anderson, died at her home Saturday afternoon following an illness of six months. She was 97 years old and was the oldest resident in the Haysville district.

      Mrs. Anderson who was the former Mary Magdeleen Weiss, was born in South Easthope Jan. 11, 1835 [53], a daughter of the late Bridget Madigan and Sebastian Weiss. In April 1883, she was married to Jacob Anderson who predeceased her. She was a devout member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, New Hamburg, and had been a member of that church all her life.

      Surviving are two sons, Fred W. of Olds, Alta. and Edward S. of New Hamburg; three daughters, Mrs. Humphrey (Queenie) Llwyd, Haysville; Miss Anne Anderson, and Mrs. Murray (Mae) Judkins, both of New York City. There are also eight grandchildren. One son Carl, and one daughter, Hannora, predeceased her.

      The funeral will be held Tomorrow morning when prayers will be said at her home followed by requiem mass at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, New Hamburg, at 10 o'clock. Rev. S. J. Winter will officiate. Burial will be made at Riverside R. C. Cemetery, New Hamburg. The body is resting at the residence,
