  • Notes
    • The death took place in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday morning last of Catharine Seegmiller, beloved wife of Mr. Alfred Kaufman, of Baden, at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 26 days. The late Mrs. Kaufman had been suffering with internal trouble for some time and everything that medical aid could do was done to prolong her life. She was taken to St. Michael's Hospital for special treatment, but it also proved in vain. The deceased was born on the Seegmiller homestead near Petersburg and after her marriage resided at Baden. She was a faithful adherent of the Lutheran Church and was highly esteemed. Besides her husband she leaves two sons and four daughters to mourn their loss. The children are: Alfred G., Kitchener; William H., New Hamburg; Mrs. Louise Markwell, Kitchener; Mrs. Dora Pautler, Preston; Mrs. John D. Schenk, Victoriaburg, and Mildred, of Buffalo. Two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Becker, of Kitchener, and Mrs. Annie Wood, Kingsly, Mich., and one brother, George Seegmiller, of Petersburg, also survive her.

The remains were brought to her home in Baden on Saturday afternoon and the funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon to the Lutheran Church and the Baden Cemetery
