    • The death took place in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday morning last of Catharine Seegmiller, beloved wife of Mr. Alfred Kaufman, of Baden, at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 26 days. The late Mrs. Kaufman had been suffering with internal trouble for some time and everything that medical aid could do was done to prolong her life. She was taken to St. Michael's Hospital for special treatment, but it also proved in vain. The deceased was born on the Seegmiller homestead near Petersburg and after her marriage resided at Baden. She was a faithful adherent of the Lutheran Church and was highly esteemed. Besides her husband she leaves two sons and four daughters to mourn their loss. The children are: Alfred G., Kitchener; William H., New Hamburg; Mrs. Louise Markwell, Kitchener; Mrs. Dora Pautler, Preston; Mrs. John D. Schenk, Victoriaburg, and Mildred, of Buffalo. Two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Becker, of Kitchener, and Mrs. Annie Wood, Kingsly, Mich., and one brother, George Seegmiller, of Petersburg, also survive her.

      The remains were brought to her home in Baden on Saturday afternoon and the funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon to the Lutheran Church and the Baden Cemetery

      Mrs. A. Kaufman Passes Away in Toronto Hospital

      The death took place in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday of Catharine Seegmiller, wife of Mr. Alfred Kaufman, of Baden The deceased had been in ill-health or some years, suffering from internal trrouble, and everything that medical science could do was done to prolong her life. In a final effort the deceased was taken to St. Michael's Hospital where she became a patient of Dr. Glover, whose discovery of a cure for cancer has already proven successful in many cases, by Mrs. Kaufman's ailment was beyond treatment. She was in her 65th year and is survived by her husband. two sons and four daughters. Alfred G. Kitchener; William H. New Hamburg; Mrs. Louise Maxwell. Kitchener; Mrs Dora Pautler, Preston; Mrs. John Schenk. Petersburg and Mildred of Buffalo. Two sisters. Mrs. Caroline Becker, Kitchener, and Mrs. Annie Wood. Kingsley, Mich. and one brother. George Seegmiller. Petersburg. together with twelve grandchildren, also survive The funeral will be held on Tuesday. July 13 at 2 o'clock from the residence in Baden to the Lutheran Church and the Baden cemetery.
