    • ZIMMERMAN, Oscar William -- At St. Mary's Hospital, on March 19, 1985, following a short illness Oscar William Zimmerman, formerly of Victoria Place, Kitchener, aged 88 years. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Lifelong member of Waterloo Lodge, No. 539, AF and AM. Life member of long service club of Mutual Life; employed at Mutual Life for 40 years in Winnipeg, Waterloo, Hamilton and Niagara district, retired in 1961 as manager of mortgage investments at the Hamilton Branch. Past patron of Eastern Star, Kitchener chapter and recipient of 50 year jewel. Husband of the late Florence Diebel who predeceased him in 1965 and Florence Mills who predeceased him on 1982; stepfather of Lillian (Mrs. William Gardinier) of Amherstburg; uncle of Patricia (Mrs. Frank Jankowski) of Kitchener and Henry Diebel and wife Roberta of Kitchener. Three great-nephews, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Last surviving member of his immediate family. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church, Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment in Woodland cemetery.
