  BADEN Golden Wedding Is Celebrated By Local Couple Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sebl Were Married at St. Agatha Fifty Years Ago. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sehl are receiving the congratulations of their many friends, it being the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary which was on Saturday, but was held on Sunday night, when a big wedding dinner was served to their friends and relatives from a table decorated for the occasion and graced with a beautiful wedding cake for the bride and groom of 50 years. Fifty years ago on the 15th of June, Mr. and Mrs. Sehl were married in the St. Agatha church by Rev. Mr. Schweitzer. Before her marriage Mrs. Sehl was Miss Bronica Martini, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Martini of this village. She was born in Petersburg on September 29th, 1868. Mr. Sehl was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sehl and has was born in Mannheim on Nov. 8, 1858. Mr. Sehl opened a hardware business in this town in 1883 in the store that is now occupied by Mr. S. C. Kuhn. A few years later he built a store adjoining his house which is still in use as a hardware store. Mr. Sehl retired from active business about three years ago at which time the store was taken over by their son Fred. Their family also includes one daughter, Mrs. J. A. Hartman of New Hamburg.
