Mr. Livingston was a member of the Kitchener Chamber of Commerce, the K-W Rotary Club and of the I.O.O.F. He was a member of Livingston Presbyterian Church, named after the family in tribute to their generous contributions. He donated the camp site for the Presbyterian camp located at Baden and was a director of the administrative board of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Mr. Livingston was interested in sports, particularly hockey and baseball, which he liberally supported, and he also helped to establish the Baden Band. In politics he was a staunch Liberal.
