  • Notes
    • Joseph D. Baumann, "was born at Waterloo, on the farm now possessed by Mr. George Moore, September 2nd, 1815. On March 12th, 1839, he was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Henry and Mary (Mosser) Baumann. She was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, November 19th, 1820, and died January 29th, 1889. They moved on their farm which is composed of lot No. 8, German Company's Tract, Woolwich Township, in March, 1839, where he still resides with his son, Seth. Here he commenced in the wilderness in 1837. During the winter months of 1837-38 he cleared about 20 acres. A small log dwelling was erected into which he moved two years later. Their family consisted of ten children"
