  BOWMAN.-On Apr. 9th, 1902, at Berlin, Ont., Sister Barbara Koch beloved wife of Jonas L. Bowman, aged 39 Y., 1 M., and 26 D. She had been confined to her bed for several months with dropsy and for the last few weeks with a complication of diseases. Toward the last her sufferings were great. The last few days she sang with her friends of her departure, and when unable to sing she requested others to do so. At times she gave forth expressions of joy, praise and prayer. She leaves a sorrowing husband and four children. May there be a reuniting of them all with two children who have preceded her. Services at the house were conducted by Daniel Wismer, and at the United Brethren Church by E. S. Hallman, text, Psa. 23: 4, and by Noah Stauffer, text, Rev. 21: 4, 5. Her remains were interred in the C. Eby Mennonite cemetery. Herald of Truth, Vol. XXXIX, No. 9, May 1, 1902, page 142, 143
