_____________________
Abraham Baumann's widow was again married to Henry B. Eby, widower of Berlin, and they resided in Rosendale. He died in 1898 and Mrs, Eby continued living at Rosendale. She shared her home with foster daughter Maria (Buehler) Eby and her four children for several years when they needed help. Hannah Eby was a good neighbor and friend to all in the community. On her 80th birthday she walked from Rosendale to Bridgeport, 3 miles, took the street car from there to Berlin and had her picture taken. She managed to look as fresh as a daisy. When she was eighty eight years of age her niece, Mrs. Dilman Brubacher of St. Jacobs, gave her a home until her death on Nov. 8th, 1915. She is buried in the Mennonite Cemetery at Bloomingdale. The prooerty of 8 acres was disposed by executor, Henry Wenger, March l 7, 1914 for $1,305 to Frederick Kurschinski.
