- Mrs. Elizabeth Heldman - the death took place at the home of her son at Kitchener on Saturday of Mrs. Elizabeth Heldman, widow of the late Conrad Heldman in her 73rd year. She was born in North Easthope on November 23rd, 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hoffmeier, and married Conrad Heldman in 1859 (Note: should read 1879. Refer to marriage certificate). Her husband predeceased her in November 1928, while a resident of New Hamburg. She is survived by two sons, Allen, of Kitchener, and Harold, of London; one daughter Mrs. John Lantz, of London; 12 brothers and sisters, John Hoffmeier, of New Hamburg, Mrs. Conrad Hoefle, of Wellesley, Mrs. Louis Ruthig, of New Hamburg, Mrs. Fred Boettinger, of Toronto, Chris Schamber, New Hamburg, Mrs. Henry Rueffer, Philipsburg, Jacob Schamber, Kitchener, Mrs. J. Wettlaufer, New Hamburg, Mrs. A. Wettlaufer, Cassel, Mrs. Peter Stueck, Shakespeare, Mrs. Edwin Becker, North Easthope, and Miss Barbara Schamber, Kitchener, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon to Baden Cemetery. Rev. W. Daib, of New Hamburg, conducted the funeral service.
