    • Howard Letter was born August 1, 1911 a son of the late Norman and Lydia Letter. He was a lifelong resident of Waterloo and a merchant in this city. He was also a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, active in the life of the congregation including service on the Church Council for many years and in the Men's Choir. He leaves to mourn a son David and wife Margaret, daughter Carol and husband Richmond Hall, 4 grandsons Paul Letter, Stephen, Bryan and Scott Hall. He had been predeceased by his wife Florence (nee Lippert) (September 12, 1989), a sister Bernice and granddaughter Lynda Letter. Following committal at Mount Hope Cemetery you are invited to return to the church for refreshments and an opportunity to visit with the family.
