  BADEN - Samuel S. Roth of Baden died Thursday at his home after a brief illness. He was 72. Born at New Hamburg, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Roth and farmed in the district his entire adult life. He was a member of the Steinmann Mennonite Church. Mr. Roth is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Jantzi; two sons, Calvin of Selkirk and Nevin at home; two daughters, Mrs. Rufus (Ellen) Bender of Durham, and Mrs. Orland (Agnes) Gingerich, R.R. 1, New Hamburg; two brothers Rudy and Moses, both of New Hamburg; and 28 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and one son. The body will be at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, until noon Sunday when removal will be made to the Steinmann Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 3 p.m. Rev. Albert Zehr will officiate.
