    • Following a prolonged illness, Miss Ella Barbara Ruthig passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. Alan Wilhelm, here on Monday morning, April 20, at the age of 46 years.

      The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ruthig and was born on the farm northwest of New Hamburg. She spent her whole life in this community and had a large circle of friends who regret her passing. During her long illness she received tender care at the home of her sister and bore her affliction with true Christian fortitude She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here.

      Besides her aged parents, she leaves in bereavement, three sisters, Mrs. Lavina Rau and Mrs. Alan Wilhelm, New Hamburg, Mrs. Henry Seyler, Tavistock and two brothers, Emory and Reuben Ruthig, New Hamburg.

      The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon with a private service at the house, followed by public service in Trinity Lutheran Church, which was attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. The pastor, Rev. H. R. Mosig, conducted the funeral services.
