  Jacob Stauffer, "was born January 17th, 1813. On March 25th, 1834, he was married to Elizabeth Mosser who was born January 29th, 1816. They resided in Blenheim Township, near Plattsville, where he died November 27th, 1879. Mrs. Stauffer is still living and has her home with her daughter, Nancy. Their family consisted of thirteen children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
