  Daniel G. Bowman, "the eldest son, was born September 29th, 1837. He is a farmer and resides at Lakeport, St. Clair County, Michigan. He was first married to Sarah, daughter of Benjamin and Eliza (Detweiler) Snyder, with whom he had one daughter named Sarah. After her decease he was married to Nancy, daughter of Abraham Cressman. This union was blessed with five children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
