Notes |
- Mrs. M. Bowman Died in Indiana
Known by Many of the Older People of Elmira
There passed away during the latter part of last week at South Bend, Indiana, Mrs. Moses G. Bowman. The deceased was before her marriage Mattie Geib, a daughter of the late Philip Geib and a sister of Mrs. Isaac Musser until lately a resident of Elmira. The Bowman family were at one time residents of Elmira where Br. Bowman carried on a blacksmithing business fifty years ago. They lived in the house now occupied by the Edward Campbell family before it was moved away to make room for the new post office. Mrs. Bowman is survived by four sons and one daughter. They are Alexander of Waterloo, Lincoln of Lansing, Mich., Emanuel and Allan of Kitchener, Mrs. Charles Root of South Bend, Indiana. The remains were brought to the home of her son Alex. in Waterloo and were on Tuesday afternoon buried in the Lutheran cemetery at St. Jacobs.
