- Local Resident Passes At London Hospital
Daniel Lemp, a resident of New Hamburg for the past six years, passed away on Wednesday morning at a hospital in London, where he had been, a patient for the past two weeks. He was 81 years old. Mr. Lemp was born May 17th, 1873 in Wilmot township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Lemp. He farmed near Wellesley for 57 years before retiring to Baden 11 years ago. In 1948 he moved to New Hamburg, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here. Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Schneller, one daughter, Miss Selma Lemp of Appleton, Wise., and one sister, Mrs. Otto Kress, of Bamberg. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon with service at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 o'clock, and interment in Riverside cemetery. Rev. A. Buehlow, pastor, will officiate.
