- Leonard William Heipel - The death occurred on Saturday of Leonard William Heipel, 33 years of age at his home, Lot 19, Concession 2, Wilmot Township. The deceased was born on August 21, 1897 in that municipality. He served in the army from May to August 1918 and in July 1922 was married to Olga Wagner, daughter of John Wagner also of Wilmot Township. Up to 1924 he resided on the homestead after which he lived for about a year in Waterloo. In more recent years he resided on the farm where he passed away.
Since leaving the army Mr. Heipel had been suffering from a weak heart and last February had a stroke from which he rallied considerably. Early Saturday a relapse set in and his death occurred in the evening of the same day.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Lorraine, seven years, and one son Raymond, four years, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heipel of Waterloo, two sisters, Mrs. Helmuth Wagner, 25 Gordon Avenue, Kitchener and Mrs. Floyd Getling of New Dundee.
The funeral will be held from the residence at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon to St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Canada Synod), Wellesley and St. Paul's cemetery.
