  KUEPFER, Mrs. Magdelena (Mattie) On Friday, June 13, 1980, at her home, Magdelena Kuepfer (Steckly) of RR 1, Newton, age 81 years. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Mennonite Church. Wife of Aaron W. Kuepfer; mother of Lorne, Ezra and Mrs. Laura Carter, all of RR 1, Newton. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ezra Steckly and Amos Steckly, both of Wellesley and two sisters, Nancy (Mrs. Amos Zehr) of RR 3, Wellesley and Elizabeth (Mrs. Emmanuel Gerber) of RR 1, Millbank. She was predeceased by her parents the late Nicholas Steckly and the former Catherine Jantzi, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson. The late Mrs. Kuepfer will be resting at the home of her son, Lorne Kuepfer, Lot 8, Con. 9, Mornington township, RR 1, Newton, after 7 p.m. (DST), Saturday, June 14, 1980, until Monday, June 16, where service will be held at 1 p.m. (dst), with Bishop Rufus Kuepfer officiating. Interment to follow in the 7th Line Amish Mennonite cemetery, Mornington township. Arrangements are through the Mark-Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton Chapel.
