    • Mr. Charles Knapp

      Mr. Charles. Knapp, well-known hotelkeeper of Petersburg, died on Sunday afternoon, after an illness of one week's duration. The late Mr. Knapp was 75 years, 6 months and 12 days. He was born on November 20th, 1850, at Berlet's Corner. He had resided in Petersburg for twenty years, during which time he was proprietor of the Petersburg hotel. Prior to that time he kept a hotel at Lisbon, He was married to Barbara Planner, who predeceased him a year and ten months ago. The late Mr. Knapp will long be remembered as tt genial, kindly dispositioned man by a host of friends to whom his death is the source of sincere regret. fie in survived by two sons and six daughters: Charles and George, of Kitchener; Mrs. H. Alles, of Detroit; Mrs. Chas. Oberer, St. Paul; Mrs. Adam Wahl, Mrs. A. H. Steller, and Miss Emily Knapp, of Kitchener. Two brother, and three sisters also survive namely, George and Jacob, of Detroit, Mrs. JoSeph DeCaussin. Mrs. Catherine Smith and Mrs. A. Schultz, all of Detroit. The funeral was held on Wednesday from his late home to St. Peter's Luth-eran Church, Petersburg, with interment at East End Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
