  Franklin B. Hostetler Following an illness of two days, Franklin B. Hostetler passed away at St. James' Hospital, Pontiac, Ill., on September 10th, 1947. Mr. Hostetler was born in Huron County Nov. 20, 1877, the son of the late David and Sarah Hostetler. He came to New Hamburg with his parents and spent his boyhood days in this community. On Feb. 5th, 1915, he was married to Mildred Gropp of Sycamore, Ill. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar, Consistory and Loyal Order of Moose. Surviving are his wife and a brother, Lafayette, of this town. The Rev. A. B. Morrow officiated at the funeral service held at the Erwin Funeral Home, Pontiac, Ill. Internment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, Ill. New Hamburg Independent, September 19, 1947
