  Brown, Mrs. Jacob S. - On Sunday, Sept. 18, 1988, at Chateau Gardens, Elmira, Alma Schmitt, in her 92nd year, of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Jacob S. Brown (1972). Dear mother of Gerald and Audrey Brown of Wasaga Beach, Donald and Hazel Brown of RR 2, Wallenstein and Shirlene and J. G. Stephens of Ellenton, Fla.; grandmother of Barbara and Bruce Finn, Mark and Kim Brown, Grant, Bruce and Kim Brown, Nancy and Keith McGlone, Evelyn Brown, Beverly and Steve Burgasky, Bob and Michelle Brown and Debra and Tom Collins. Nine great-grandchildren also survive. Dear sister of Mrs. Helga Crawford of Cambridge, Alfred Schmitt of Waterloo, Carl and Ted Schmitt, both of Kitchener. Grandma Brown is fondly remembered by Grace, Skip and Stacey Maher, Marion and Charlie Roes, Camille and Josie Grundy, Christine, Wilf, Brad and Julie Shantz. Predeceased by one sister and three brothers. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, Tuesday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 2: 30 p.m. with Rev. Donald Stroh officiating. Interment St. James Lutheran cemetery [Elmira]. Donations to St. James Lutheran Church Building Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
