      PHILLIPSBURG - Charles George Forler, 62, a lifelong resident of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after an illness of four months.

      A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Forler, Mr. Forler was a building contractor and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Baden branch of the Canadian Order of Foresters.

      Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John (Eva) Ehrat of Phillips burg and Mrs. John (Almeda) Leu of New Hamburg. Mr. Forler, a widower, was predeceased by two brothers.

      The body will remain at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, until noon Saturday when removal will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, for a service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Edward Reigert will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
