    • CLARA "CLAIRE" HERZOG 1917 - 2007 After a long and full life, Claire died at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, on Tuesday evening, July 10, 2007. She was 90. Claire will be lovingly remembered by her family; children, Shirley (Charlie) Daub, Karen (Dave) Kowalski and Ron (Jan) Herzog; daughter-in-law, Patricia Herzog; grandchildren, Wendy Kelly, Shelley Daub, Lori Madden, Jeffrey Daub, Tracey Schnarr, Jen Herzog, Cathy Herzog, Carrie Herzog, Jeremy Kowalski, Jessica McTavish, Jason Kowalski and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Doreen Horner of Kitchener, Anna Mae Schultz of Orangeville; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Herzog and Cathy Herzog of Kitchener and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony (Tony) Herzog in 1975; son, Bill in 2005; two great-grandchildren, Edward and Joseph Schnarr in 2003; and brothers and sisters, Leo, John, Ben and Carl Trendle, Laurel Willick and Josephine Sommerville. Claire was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church and the Catholic Women's League. She will be remembered by many customers as a longtime employee of Zehrs. She enjoyed her involvement at the Adult Recreation Centre in Waterloo, love of gardening and games of euchre and solo with her friends. Friends are invited to share their memories of Claire with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, July 13, 2007 (today) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Waterloo, on Saturday, July 14, 2007, 10: 30 a.m., with Monsignor Vincent Kerr as celebrant. Immediately following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. The Parish Prayer service will be held at the funeral home this evening (Friday) at 8: 45 p.m. Condolences for the family and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Bill Herzog Endowment Fund at KidsAbility would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com In memory of Claire, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
