- A-1-72 John Buehler Probate of Will of John Buehler, formerly of the Village of St. Jacobs, in the Township of Woolwich, Plough-maker. Granted on the nineteenth of August, One thousand, eight Hundred and fifty five, on the prayer of the Executors of said Deceased, viz: Samuel Hoffman and Isaac E. Bowman.
I John Buehler, of the Village of St. Jacobs, in the Township of Woolwich, being sick and weak of body…And my will is - first, that after my decease my body shall be decently buried, without ostentation or unavoidable expense, and that my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid by my executors. And, as to the residue of my estate and property…and which shall not be required for the payment of my debts and funeral charges….I give and devise to my beloved wife Hannah Buehler all the residue of my property both real and personal to be held by her during life with all the benefits and interests accruing thereform; and I further ordain and devise that after the death of my beloved wife Hannah Buehler that the residue of my property then remaining shall be equally divided between my brothers and sisters and the brothers and sisters of my beloved wife, their heirs, executors and administrators…I also devise that my Step-brothers and Step-sisters are to be included in this will but the Step-brothers and Step-sisters of my wife are to be excluded from any share or benefit whatever. I further grant and devise that my beloved wife shall have the privilege of reserving any part of the household furniture that she may chose to reserve for her own use, such as beds, plate, or any other household ware of any description whatsoever. And I do nominate and appoint my friends Samuel Hoffman and Isaac E. Bowman to be the Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
