  Passed away on Sunday August 4, 2013 at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg. She was born 100 years ago in Mornington Township and was the daughter of the late Daniel & Nancy (Erb) Nafziger. Beloved wife of the late Harold Wismer who predeceased her in 1968. Loving mother of Eleanor & husband Gerald Roth of New Hamburg and Raymond & wife Sharon Wismer of Kitchener. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Duane & wife Nina Roth, Janice & husband Steve Steckly, Nancy & husband Nathan Roth, Michelle Wismer & friend Peter, Kim Wismer and her 12 great-grandchildren. Remembered by her brothers Floyd & wife Erma Nafziger, Leonard & wife Joyce Nafziger. Vera was predeceased by her son Melvin Wismer, granddaughter Lisa, son-in-law Lyle Schwartzentruber, sisters Edna & husband Laverne Zehr, Betty & husband Gerald Steffler, Dorothy & husband Alvin Martin, Erma & husband Lyle Coverett, Alice in infancy, brothers Emerson & wife Delphine Nafziger, Elmer & wife Ann Nafziger and Vernon & wife Elda Nafziger. Vera was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday August 6, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Myrna Miller Dyck officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Nithview Community or the Mennonite Central Committee.
