- James Pringle started in John Henry's building south of Queen Street in 1874 and in 1880 moved to a building he had erected on the north side where he continued many years until he retired. Mr. Conduit of Galt took over his business and continued a short time and after him in that stand, Ken. W. MacDonald for a short time only, as a subsidiary to the Preston business he still carries on.
