Notes |
- Mr. David Barber came here about 1899 and until his death conducted a photograph gallery upstairs in the building in which The Beehive Restaurant is now located. Here, he used dry plates, but he told me that when he started it was all wet plates, which they prepared. Examples of work done by Askew, Lake and Barber indicate that they were sound men and that they worked with good equipment; used good materials.
