- BEER , Eli Soufhwood (Dick) - At the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Saturday evening July 21, 1973; Eli (Dick) Beer of Route 1, (Pine Bush Rd.) Hespeler Cambridge in his 73rd year. Mr. Beer had been employed as a foreman in the Rolling Steel Door division of Eastern Steel Products, Preston, until his retirement six years ago. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Whitmore; son William of Hespeler, two daughters Elma (Mrs. Harold Highton) of Kincardine, Ethel (Mrs. Donal MacIntosh) of Hespeler; brother Lloyd of Barrie, four sisters Mrs. Ethel Brandon of Vancouver, Edna (Mrs. Bret Wolfe) of Hespeler, Lily (Mrs. Albert Rayment) of Hespeler, Alma (Mrs. Norman Brox) of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; predeceased by a daughter Marie.
Mr. Beer is resting at the Nelson Funeral Home, 23 Galt St., Hespeler (Cambridge) for funeral service on Tuesday, July 23 at 3 pm. Interment in New Hope cemetery.
