• Notes

  Unproved as of yet but included as possiblity: Henry was the son of Selig (Henry)Arntfield and Mary Schall. The original German name of Ahrenfeld was first anglicized to Arntefield and later Arntfield. Selig was born March 3, 1831 in Butzow, Mecklenburgh, Germany while Mary Schall was born in Mecklenburgh on February 29, 1832. The couple is said to have come to Canada about 1852 about two months after marriage. Selig was the son of Abraham Ahrenfeld born in Bruel, Germany in 1783 and Jette Mendel born in 1787 in Waren, near Butzow.
