  BARRETT, Arthur R.-At Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo, on Tuesday, May 16, 1989, age 96 years. Mr. Barrett was the former owner and operator of Barrett's Men's and Children's Wear, in Kitchener, and had been employed by several men's clothing stores in Kitchener. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo. Predeceased by his wives, Hilda Block in 1939 and Gertrude Geelhaar in November 1988, and his parents Rachel and Richard Barrett. He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Martha Schultz and Mrs. Norma Geelhaar, both of Waterloo; several nieces and nephews and a step-sister in Port Hope. Mr. Barrett's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Thursday, transfer will be made to the chapel of St. John's Lutheran Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m. (Thursday), with Rev. Eric Weber officiating. Interment to follow in in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery, Kitchener. Donations to St. John's Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
