  HAMEL, Catharine Jean (nee Thoman) Passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Paul Hamel (1995). Dear mother of Pauline Bergman (Les) and Jane Hamel. Loving grandmother of Heather Zunic (Dino) and Alison Orth (John). Special great-grand-mother of Elayna, Sabrina, Avril and Drake. Predeceased by her parents Isaiah and Catharine Thoman. Jean was a dedicated homemaker and loved all her grandchildren dearly. Her hopes were fulfilled with the arrival of her three great-grandchildren who brought her much joy. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with a reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Parkview Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Gehan Ghally and Dr. Ronald Fowlis for their compassionate care and support. Also a sincere thank you to Margaret Lennox.
