    • Mrs. Maria Walker - The death occurred at her home Cedar Lawn, on the Huron Road, Wilmot, of Mrs. Maria Walker, widow of the late Thomas Walker, at the advanced age of 91 years, 10 months and 23 days. The deceased was a daughter of the late William Illingworth, who emigrated to Canada in the early twenties from Yorkshire, England. The late Mrs. Walker was born in Wilmot on the Huron Road and spent her whole life in that community. She was a valued member of the Anglican Church of this Parish and was greatly beloved by all. She was married in 1854 to Thomas Walker, who predeceased her 44years ago. A family of six children are left to mourn her demise, namely, Mrs. George Veitch, Woodstock, Mrs. J.M. McCallum, Ottawa, Henry G. Walker, Huron Road, Fred J. Walker, Leamington, and Thomas and Clara Walker, at home, three of the family predeceased her, Mrs. Thomas B. Puddicombe, of Haysville, Joseph Walker, of London, and William Walker, of California. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. William Kerr, Huron Road. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon from her late home to St. James' Church and Cemetery.
